MY MOST RECENT FILM

Imbalance

Imbalance is a poetic documentary covering the theme of the growing imbalance between technology and nature. This documentary takes an artistic approach and style to send out a message about our climate problems, through the use of it's artistic cinematography, poetic narrative and moving soundtrack to create an atmospheric and touching finished product. Imbalance's style and structure was inspired by the popular documentary 'Koyaanisqatsi'.

Pre-production began in early spring of 2023, and the documentary was ready to be shot by mid April. Production lasted roughly 2 months throughout early summer. This documentary is a product of yours truly, and it is something that I am very proud to have produced by myself. As a matter of fact, Imbalance was screened at this years UAL visual art festival in London.

MY EXPERIANCE

Coca Cola corporate interview

In early July I landed my first professional piece of work in the industry. I was recruited by Ambanja films to be a production assistant for a shoot at the Coca Cola headquarters in London. We shot an interview with a company official who was promoting new products. As a production assistant I had responsibilities such as operating the auto-que, monitoring expensive camera equipment and making coffee for the crew. Overall I got a great hands on learning experience with some talented filmmakers.

Leisure Focus corporate video

Last autumn, me and three friends worked with Leisure Focus to create them a company corporate video. This was an in depth recruitment styled corporate video that focussed on the current staff members affiliation with the leisure centre. Throughout the months of research, pre-production, shooting and post production I learnt a lot about how to work with clients. Something that is very valuable for my future.

THE FUTURE

TIME

Time is a poetic documentary that covers the theme of time. Inspired by my last poetic documentary 'Imbalance', time takes a similar style and approach to creating a narrative. Time expertises in it's rich cinematography, atmospheric sound, and creative approach to storytelling.

Production is in progress and is expected to be finished by the middle of September.

Acting

Since the start of my filmmaking journey I have an interest in acting. I believe that acting is a great passion for me to pair with filmmaking. Pursuing the two side and side will open up more opportunities for me.  At the minute I am a complete beginner in acting and I'm at the start of my journey. It's just like my filmmaking journey where I started as a complete beginner but my passion and dedication has allowed me to come a long way.

The End Of Deaf Culture

I have had the honour of being recruited as the cinematographer for this documentary covering deaf awareness. at the minute the team is waiting for approval for funding. If all goes to plan, production will start in september.

ABOUT ME

I have been a film fanatic ever since I can remember. Throughout my infant days I would binge action movies and  nature documentaries all day. There was something about the creative story telling part of movies that intrigued me like nothing else. Perhaps it was because films bring stories to life and my young mind believed everything on screen was real.

During school I would sit there thinking about creative story ideas that I would want to make into a movie one day. I began my journey by taking up photography. Photography really allowed me to learn camera skills and techniques.

I then enrolled on a creative media course at BCA college. This course didn't just teach me the theoretical side of filmmaking, but also the practical side of it. I have also got to credit this course for everything it has taught me about this tough industry. I'm pleased to have completed my time here by achieving a distinction grade

Here we are. Since then I have been embarking on my own journey in this challenging industry. So far I have had some amazing experiences and I wish for this success to continue
